Interesting story. It seems that the state wants to put major limitations on the residents of California but if it becomes inconvenient for Sacramento then they should have to abide by the same rules. Bad PR move Governor.

Dr. Haver, Water Resources/Water Quality Advisor, and Director of the University of California South Coast Research & Extension Center (SCREC), will share highlights of the knowledge and experience he has gained researching and establishing best practices in residential landscaping and irrigation.

Sitting on over 200 acres, SCREC was established by the UC in 1956 as a representative site for agricultural and horticultural research in California's South Coastal Climatic Zone. As part of the day’s event, Dr. Haver will lead a tour of SCREC’s renowned Model Residential Landscapes where some of Dr. Haver’s most important and timely research continues: During the tour, Dr. Haver will share research results and real world experience with some of today’s most advanced hardscaping materials and techniques, landscape irrigation technologies, run-off mitigation practices, and sustainable plant materials.
